Any person can join the Scout History Association as a member. All you will
need is to email your full name and your email address, and you will be included
on the membership list page, which is published below. You must mark the
subject of your e.mail as "Scout History Association".
- There is no fee, or membership subscriptions. There might yet be a membership
badge, after one has been designed.
Name submitted and not listed?
The Web Master is aware that names have been submitted, but the details were
lost in a Computer crash, and in the transfer of details from the original
AOL Web Site to the Prestel Web Site. If your name has been submiited in
the past, but is not yet listed, please resubmit your name and email address,
with an idea of the original date of submission.
Membership details and email address.
If you are not happy about the inclusion of your email address please ask
for this to be deleted. The email "@" symbol has been replaced by a graphic
symbol (a gif file) - this is to thwart the robots which hoover up email
addresses for sending spam.
If you wish for more details to be included such as the Association to which
you belong, or your contact address, please supply these details via email.
Always mark your subject "Scout History Association".
Membership Grade.
All those joining will initially be assigned the membership grade of
Member . Members may proceed to the grade of
Fellow. This will be granted on the basis of an essay submitted
for inclusion as a historical article on the Association's Web Site. The
essay, must demonstrate original research or provide a clearer picture,
or shed new light on any previous historical picture. There will be an academic
panel appointed to judge submissions for the grade of
Fellow.
